Someday the Holo bubble will pop and Nijisanji isn't equipped to fill in the vacuum. The future belongs to smaller corpos. A year ago most of them didn't exist and the only alternative to Hololive were lewdtubers. But now, they do and have followed a more eastern model.

Cyberlive's Lumi is showing early promise, but they have a similar problem along with Prism and Phase in that you only hear about one or two members at best. It's almost putting the company on the back of one talent and discarding the lesser members.

They fulfill different niches, and while they mostly hololarp, their selection of content does vary more than Nijisanji and Hololive. They're basically indies but filtered through a process to at least be reliable enough to stream. Phase Connect has an odd-ball selection of streams, Cyberlive has non-standard selection of game choices, and Tsunderia hires people who have potential but are not necessarily good and hopes it pays off. I don't know much about Prism but Shiki's great.

But they also have their own weaknesses. Phase Connect, Amber Glow, and Cyberlive's specialization, and weirdness lean them toward a more 4chan-adjacent audience, which unironically attracts schizos and the usual problems any /here/chuubas encounter. Tsunderia, well, has an eye for talent and that leads to those same talents either getting poached with companies who can better support them, or go rogue and just around doing whatever. Prism is solid, and only if you think Prism=Shiki.

That happens with literally every company anon, Iinchou singlehandedly put Nijisanji on the map and made the livestreaming live2d meta the norm back in 2018, she was streaming to 20k people while all the other girls+Aki in the first gen were in the 3-7k range and Hajiki was struggling to hit 1k viewers. It was a similar case on the Holo side where Sora was regularly doing 5k+ viewers after the Christmas miracle while no one else in the company could pull 1k viewers. The incline usually comes to 1 or 2 members, and you hope it trickles down to the others as the brand's awareness is increased, especially as you keep on debuting more members.

Because it appears to be true. ID3 may surprise, but having two good chubas out of 6 doesn't bode well for 2 out of the three new indos. Council sputtered out with Kronii hard carrying them, and a new Gen won't appear for another year.

Meanwhile, Niji's past time frames lead one to believe that EN3 and Nijimale EN are coming in November. If they have enough good auditions, there might even be a second gen in December or January. 2 more months and we'll have even more gacha pulls to discuss, and Niji will fully capitalize on gachamania in both the literal and figurative sense.

I was a chumbud for about two weeks after she did the city pop song in karaoke but the chat is what filtered me and sent me to indies and startups. It made me feel like what's the point of participating in chat if you're just going to be one ball in an olympic pool sized ball pit?
