The claim is not that there is one solution (although sometimes there is), it's that mate will follow in two moves regardless of what the opponent does

Puzzles like these usually aim for you to find the quickest way to mate, which usually is just one solution.
In this case the queen taking the pawn in g3 is pretty much the common denominator
