I do believe it's a genuine dream since he's consistently always brought it up as his future goals/plans, but what the fuck actual progress has been done towards that at all?
The closest thing I can think of is 3D concerts (and Ame's anniversary VRchat thing probably moved closer to talents being able to interact in VR across the world, not just in studio)
But that's just talents appearing and interacting amongst themselves in VR, which is the easy part
If the Metaverse really is Yagoo's dream, then how come he doesn't try to organize any type of VR concerts and hangouts?
He ought to take a page from Ame's book: have the talents appear in VR (VRchat style) and maybe end stand on a performance stage doing songs, then fans from across the world can appear in the same server in VR and interact
I honestly though Hololive Alternative was supposed to be Cover's proprietary software version of that, Yagoo even talked excitedly about the potential of Holo Alt on his twitter and public statements
But no, it seems like Holo Alt is turning out to just be some sort of anime/manga/musicvideo multimedia project
