People are "smart" about the things they care about, and will often hyper focus to the detriment of other subjects.
For example, my brother is a mechanical and electrical wizard who taught me how to rebuild a motorcycle from a pile of disassembled parts, but is essentially a clueless ape poking at the keyboard when it comes to anything related to computers.

The thing about today's education is that you learn how to be a good natured person until you are 18, then you are sent to college to learn what you want to specialize in.

I think we could cut off a few of those education years and just make the specialty learning thing be done in age 16 ngl
