To specifically answer your question you get to maintain normalcy and day-to-day streaming activities/income during a financially desperate time while still collectively holding the bomb with the rest of the doomed talents. If anyone drops it then they all drop which causes the event we're currently seeing.
Which begs the question, why was it dropped now? Why did mouse drop it first? And who made the bomb? Was this just a few talents getting bled out or were they all truly collectively being gutted?
