For men having ANYONE to date is a success, for women dating ANYONE is a failure. It's like all those zoomers who won't get a job because it won't make them insta rich and they would rather be neets instead. Sure if your goal was to get a job, ANY job, then just walking into McDs and asking to flip burgers could check that off your list.
For women, they would rather be alone than date a subpar guy, the same way a zoomer refuses to flip burgers and chooses to spend his time scrolling tiktok. It IS perfectly possible to date ANYONE for women, but that's the antithesis of a woman's idea of success.
That and, Tenma is a little justified since, as far as I remember, the last guy she dated pulled a knife on her and said "either you marry me, or I kill us both" in public.
