They flip a switch and go 0-100. They stop even contemplating that the person/org they trust could be doing something shady or incompentent.
They also have personalities that make them very averse to rocking the boat, including having extremely low self worth. Because rocking the boat and having to stand up for themselves implies that their entire choice of trusting was a foolish mistake and they don't want to face that possibility.
