So, what did they do?
Easy

Then, make sure that everyone is on board (using that big 1 million still in the bag as bribe for the talents)
Gunrun and that guy that Kson had in stream were red herrings all along in this plan, part of it as a strategy to put the attention elsewhere.
Kson punched JP guy verbally to make people cheer, they get out with the money and they come as heroes while Gunrun and the other guy just dissapear from the face of the planet until people forgot Gunrun even existed

Yes, in this strategy, Vei, Silver, Nyanners, Quinn and Sayu were bribed.
They use the other million to pay for other things and everyone wins
Except for the obvious problem.
