>>102755750you dont really have much experience in what youre talking about and you are coming across like a fan who has parasocial issues. yes shit is talked about weird fans or irritating trends the fan community picks up. no its not as simple as using the block button when its large donors that are being weird. when people come into chat and start saying weird things like let me smell your panties or dms sending dic pics or asking for nudes or sex then its easy to ignore those. when you have regular highest tier subscribers and heavy donors that start getting weird the situation starts to get a lot more difficult to navigate. these donors are what allow them to financially create the content but they also cant allow them to be weird and have to cut off several romantic advances
every job is stressful. every job has things that people vent about. a lot of times people see youtubers or streamers and think its just push go live + play videogames + receive paycheck. there is a lot more to it than that and its all that administrative and backend stuff that causes said stress. my fiance genuinely enjoys it and its worth it for her to do this job as well as she is finding success with it but no vtuber will tell you its without effort or stress
you have not yet explained your position about the marriage thing. if she never mentioned the marriage then everyone would continue not knowing. her content hasnt changed at all. there was no change to relatability and there was no change to her content output. the only betrayal that makes sense and is in line with many dms from my fiance and other vtubers is that these are people who were so deep in fantasy they thought they had a chance. this is not healthy behavior and not the kind of relationship you should be having with the people you watch. that is the definition of being parasocial. relationship status shouldnt matter as long as content isnt being impacted. mentioning the sex stuff was directly related to this threads op as well as something some people are genuinely interested in knowing about but also a real life human behavior. it is sometimes important to remind people that these vtubers who they are projecting onto are real people with real lives in real relationships that do real relationship things like sex
>real people watching who have feelings but that never gets consideredthey are considered and its very much a problem as well as the reason why vtubers can not be friends with their fans. there is a balance. when you parasocially project a friendship or a relationship onto a streamer you are probably not realizing they have tens to hundreds to thousands of other people doing exactly the same thing. they can not be friends with every person. they can not cater their content specifically to every person. donors and supporters will often get some level of priority treatment but thats unfortunately how the industry works because thats how it makes money. without money people cant afford to be streamers and put out regular or quality content. you are also not considering the how they can be open in the beginning. if them having a bf or husband is not part of their content why would they bring it up at all? if they say it in the beginning when they have 2 viewers are they obligated to remind everyone every 10 or 100 viewers 'hey by the way guys i have a boyfriend who i love and am dating so please dont project your gf fantasies on me'. that in and of itself would change the nature of their content and change how relatable they are
im not trying to be rude but you really sound like you dont have any idea what you actually want from a streamer thats in the realm of reality. a streamer will not be able to many everyone happy. a streamer will never be able to be 100% honest without it changing the nature of their content. a streamer could not be friends with all their viewers even if they wanted to be. its not even about the romantic aspect of things but also about the time and attention. if you get 5 people wanting to have a 5min conversation and wanting attention every day thats about half hour of time. 10 people is about an hour. 50 people is 5 hours etc. its never just a 5min convo either. the amount of people that need constant affirmations or want to trauma dump or treat you like their own personal blog is way higher than youd expect. even if they wanted to make time to be friends with everyone there is not enough time in the day. a lot of times they close dms or dont respond to anyone outside of major donors because if they start appearing to play favorites then it looks bad. like i said in my first post they like their communities to an extent but also hate vtuber fans for the types of things they do and expect. you genuinely dont seem to have thought about or understand any part of what its like from their perspective trying to manage hundreds or thousands or 10s of thousands of people all expecting you to dedicate yourself to them in some capacity
