That's not really an indication of anything, AmaLee was in the talks with VShojo for a year, and she barely collabed with them.

As shown, she can generate a million-dollar merch sales on her own. Just her name is enough promotion. She could have gone affiliate if wanted to secure idol activities.
Plus, Even though most chumbuds only watch Gura, it would not be worth the backlash of jumping to another corpo. Vshojo can not offer anything more than Holo, and as exposed, their contracts are horrible. Will not back their talents over virtual signalers. The more I think about it the more sound it is. NijiEN was always second or third place for auditions. 5/6 of the OG NijiEN were failed Holo auditions. That was always an insecurity for some of them I bet and made it easier to bribe Matara, Kuro, and Mint.

If Vei's claim that Hololive lived in his head rent free are true, and also that he hired Kson and Nazuna specifically as a blow to Hololive, then signing Gura would have been his dream. The chance that he at least tried it is 100%. The chance that she went for it is not so much, but Mint's story that she was signed for a year without it being public means that basically anyone could have been in a similar situation.

Could I believe that she was being eyed for whatever Gunrun was cooking up with Mint? Sure. The timing is certainly convenient, but again I don't think you can convince someone to do something that they haven't at least 75% convinced themselves to do already. If the relationship between Gura and management had been perfect and there were no cancelled songs and projects and she hadn't taken several unexplained multi-month hiatuses and then she just graduates seemingly out of nowhere then I think it would be fine to speculate that Gunrun convinced her. As it is now at best he encouraged a decision that she had already made.
