Women just get a ton of attention when young and think it will always be that way, the future (35+) is so far away. Then like a college student with an untouched assignment due tomorrow, they panic and try to rush everything at the last moment, instead of wanting top marks they just want to no fail. Some will scrape by, others fail. All of it could be avoided if they looked sooner.
Also with genders being roughly 50/50, the lonely woman means a lonely guy is there. Only she's now 30+ having ignored him to chasse other men, and he's 30+ and either dropped out of dating, in a relationship or a suicide statistic.
