Then you've got FuwaMoco who AGRESSIVELY pushed their audience to sub to them, an almost comical level. They had a sub counter on nearly every stream and abused the hell out of quirk in 2023 where the #Shorts stream format would oddly get your streams pushed into more people's algo
You basically HAVE to do more than just casually stream if you want to grow quickly, music used to work as well but it's been nerfed pretty hard due to a dozens of different algo changes that's fucked over vtuber music
