People started using that site during the extended downtime because the hack. It turned out to be a decent alternative because the moderation there was killing schizos on sight in seconds(and still does), allows sounds in mp4s and webms with a 10MB limit, and no text captcha.
Obviously normally that wouldn't be enough to make people move otherwise the site would of gained some popularity during the year it was being randomly posted here, but the combo of being forced to move for a extended period of time(the actual hard part), experiencing proper moderation for basically the first time, the user base as a whole not having nearly as much of an attachment to 4chan due to being generally newer and probably most importantly mods here allowing Kiara schizo to literally spam the thread non stop basically on cooldown 500+posts per thread for 48 straight hours when 4chan finally did come back up caused like 99% of the user base to either fuck off image boards completely or say fuck it and put down roots at the other site.
Now basically the only hololive related posters that came back are splits that luckily didn't have much in the way of schizo problems before the hack(except /hirys/ for some reason? they came back immediately even though it is a schizo den before and after the hack). The rest just stayed there. Even outside of hololive posters, a fuckton just went off to who knows where since the board as a whole is less active than when it was created now and global plus a few very active splits isn't enough to do that alone.
