Can some of you nwords help give me some insight into the pekomiko situation?
I know it's old news but I'm new to hololive, and after doing some research I feel like there's something amiss.
They both kept saying everything was fine between them, that they just naturally drifted apart, etc, but whenever they interact in holoservers it gets so awkward.
On multiple ocasions pekora just ran away when miko approached. This is not normal behavior, something happened. Miko literally interacts with every member regardless of how intimate she is with them. I've never witnessed the same awkwardness between other members.
Does anyone have a good guess? I personally believe, correct me if I'm wrong with the timeline, that it all started from pekora due to suisei. From what I gather, pekora has big emotional maturity issues. I think that maybe miko becoming closer to suisei might have caused pekora to feel betrayed by her and that made her cold towards miko.
These kinds of toxic friends are not that uncommon. Like, you must be there for them. You can only be theirs. You have a connection with them you can't have with anybody else.
I think pekora simply didn't have enough emotional maturity to handle miko being close to someone else.
And while I could be wrong about suisei being the reason, I still believe the fallout came from pekora's immaturity.
I also noticed that while miko pretty much hangs out with everybody and everybody seems to like her, pekora is usually a loner. Sure azuki and marin care about her, but it feels more like in an oneesan (cringe I know) kind of way.
I don't think she has a single true friend inside the group. Vivi seems like her pet if anything, she'll probably just end up like moona.
I'm not implying the other members hate her, at all, they are all very cordial to one another, but there is something here. there is a lack of motivation to be closer to pekora. it's so weird how, for example, some of her senpais like fubuki, are bizarrely distant from her.
Feel free to chime in on this and help out if you can.
