Ame and Fauna both worked for Cover for several years they fully understand the reality of having to follow a strict contract. There is a lot of stuff they didn't like about Hololive but they tolerated the many rules. It's overly childish to view following an idol contract as betrayal and Nimi would understand that it was required for Hololive.

Mumei did state that she couldn't agree with the affiliate contract because it didn't feel good to her and that likely did piss off Cover enough that they cancelled her nendo. The affiliate deal being an idol type contract that lets management have some control over their RM account would explain their actions. I doubt Cover likes playing the role of the sexist Japanese company but they likely did tell Dooby that if she wants to return to Hololive she needed to distance herself from Nimi.
