On one hand, he found steady work and while you know what to expect, it's never awful.
On the other, how do you even land such a position (consistently) especially when it comes to Vtubers where they start and graduate almost without notice? I've got a feeling Kanauru spends more time talking to Cover suits than the girls. I wouldn't be surprised if in two years time I see Kanauru and his soul has been sucked out and placed into a salaryman.

Check the songs made by kanaru vs songs made by independent 3d animators. For ex flare's recent ori song. You can see the difference in kanaru editing / choreograph vs average 3d guy editing . There is a reason why songs with kanaru direction crosses 1mill pretty quick.

His lighting, etc. is great, but dear lord do the animations themselves look inhuman and unnatural (even without considering the speed)

If memory serves from the Marine/Mizu arc, them working with the girls, doesn't mean they "work with" the girls. A lot of it is sharing assets and ideas with suits, and the girls Manager mentions what they do/don't want, with very minor 1:1 conversations
