They did not touch direct revenue from streaming i.e. ads, subs, donations, etc.
For what VShojo does, the cuts they did take should have been enough to keep the lights on.
Instead, they had ~30+ employees (how? who? what were they doing?)
They overspent on advertisements and convention appearances, fronting costs for high-production debuts, hosting raves and mixers, tech development (which was never turned over to the public despite initial claims to do so), failed projects (VStream and a video game) and so on.
Without knowing the financials we could've never seen how bad of an idea this was in the moment, but in retrospect they were really just throwing money around as if it was limitless.
