So if you see like 50% you don't know if the number is accurate but you at least know it's controversial. Especially useful for filtering out bad tutorials and contested info and such.
Not to mention Kanata herself even talked about the subject of the dislike extension one day years ago and it being completely different.
But even before the dislikes were taken away you would have completely positive videos always have a handful of dislikes. 12k to 97? That would be very normal. People just hit the button for no reason.
