When they were in the thick of it left to their own devices they, and the audience, did indeed look forward to the day they'd get all the professional help and have official 3D etc - but this is one of those monkey's paw pyrrhic victory type stories wherein when they finally reach the dream and get what they want it's strangely underwhelming and comes with a load of other stress-inducing bullshit in a different way and they realize it was actually the journey that mattered and was more enjoyable in retrospect.
Deep down, you know this is true and that you are just habitually half-watching all the corporate underwhelming slop and telling yourself it's better while knowing secretly it's inane, boring and not as enjoyable and exhilarating as the old content once was. You are NOT actually greatly amused by or enjoying seeing them respond to text boxes on the screen and do mindless activities for an hour or so just to sell yet more merch every single stream.
