Brave itself isn't a vtuber company, it's like Sony or whatever, vtubers are only a small part of their portfolio. Could they decide to shut down their entire vtuber division? Sure, I guess, though VSPO is certainly profitable even if nothing else is. Could their vtuber division actually cause the company to go bankrupt? No, it's too small of a fraction of their business.

Last time I heard about this company, they are VTuber agency at core and what laid foundation for this company. What do you mean they can exist without VTubers? It's like saying Cover can disband Hololive and still exists thanks to HoloEarth

That's a lie anon, they were literally called Virtual Youtuber when they were first founded https://bravegroup.co.jp/en/company/
Vtubers was always their focus, first and foremost. Everything else on their portfolio was picked up or started to be an element (like their mocap studio) to support the vtubers under them

For posterity, you aren't wrong but their IP platforms regarding media production is making way more money than their Vtubing division. It's basically the opposite situation of >>103694742 where Cover's tech side failed but Vtubing side took off, the opposite is true currently of Brave just with a different structure.

If they can live through the Game-bu controversy then they will be fine. They’re not as big as Niji is in the west for people to care too much about the cracks forming but they’re also not as small as VAllure for the fallout to completely shutter them, if that makes sense.

They have more capital than the entirety of the small corpo space combined and now that we've learned about it, even some of the bigger companies in the space by a good margin, The fact the company and its subsidiaries don't make a show of what they had and advertise like some other past corpos that did and they have profitable businesses means they can keep doing what they are doing even with failed branches and missteps even though some of my oshis are affected by this and I don't like how they do management with the money they do have but they can keep stuff running with good enough staff.

The financial report for last year should come out at the end of this month, but I don’t see how they can make a profit. Sometimes negative revenue means heavy investment, but their recent moves don’t look good. They opened a shop in Haneda in 2024 and already closed it. Now they even call a single stand in a random store their storefront.
VSPO is profitable, but I still don’t think they’re in a great spot. Their streaming side can’t compete with Hololive, and their gaming side relies too much on CR.

Pretty bold move (or a stupid one) for Brave to make Vspo fes and only invited Vspo members. They don't fully utilize their massive talent pool from other agencies and they put all eggs into a group that is still a blip in JP viewership radar. They would be more successful if they made Brave fes instead

Maybe lower spending cost can somehow decrease the negative revenue impact but I don't see it making even a fifth of Holofes revenue

VSPO is quite big, but they have no synergy with any Brave Group brand. Like I said, they’re basically living off CR’s orbit. Having their own event is better since it strengthens their brand, and I don’t see why it wouldn’t be successful. Even then, if Brave Group’s financial status doesn’t improve, VSPO alone can’t carry the whole burden.
What vspofags don’t understand is the weakness in VSPO right now. They survive by combining two niches, which is good enough to make them a second-tier group, but if they can’t build up their own platform, it won’t end well in the long run. The best thing that could happen to them is probably getting bought out by CR.
