If we are to talk about happiness, almost (if not all) every Hololive members are happy and make enough to survive. Even RBC who is a runt in many metrics still make enough to buy herself and her parents a house in metropolitan Tokyo. Heck, they likely make more than enough to survive (which they should, as Marine said: VTubing is a new and unstable field and we don't know how long VTubers can be popular so they better make enough for retirement if everything crashes in near future).
Anyway, I digressed, but this thread was about popularity and anons have been discussing about it. If you don't care about popularity, you shouldn't bother with it at first place.
