>>103935594Ideally, police and military *would* be separate, but the US courts have decided that police have no duty to protect anyone other than the people they've arrested, and government officials, so the police are effectively useless to the public. Even if the police *did* do their jobs though, you basically have to try and kill multiple people to go to prison for more than 6 months, so nothing can possibly get better.
That's why the best conventions in general are in places like medium sized towns in Nebraska, because they're happy to have people there, and if they have hobos, you're at least unlikely to see them.
