>>10401652I hope they don't rush 'em out the door before they're properly primed and ready. The holiday thematics are less important than a good first impression. A fag in another thread didn't even realize Reine became the only good ID just because her first impression was so bad.
Niji EN usually has a good track record with this sort of thing, but there have been times in the past when Niji slipped up massively. IIRC they royally screwed over one of their male chubas and crippled his growth because they out his debut over proper planning and preparation. If gen3 can make the holiday deadline then fantastic. If not, it's better to be late and fully prepped than early and half cocked.
>>10400204The sad fact is, it really is about branding. Nothing else matters if your brand becomes a religion unto itself. Nijisanji's better about this as they don't have the pretense of being a cult, and their chubas do wind up having to carry their weight to a certain degree. But even the nijisanji brand guarantees a sizeable amount of publicity, at least before they debut the next 90 of them.
That's not to say they shouldn't take chances, but keep in mind that a chuba trying to be a less marketable version of a more popular chuba is just competing for a market that's already been locked down. This is why added value is important. A chuba who sings is just a chuba who sings, but a chuba who sings, cooks, builds gunpla, and knows how to nifty yoyo tricks is a better Charlotte. That's the real goal, to be better than competitors and offer something more than just what's already available.
First and foremost, a chuba oughta strive to be more than just a one trick/niche pony if that niche has already been covered, regardless of whether or not they get into a company. Personal growth is personal growth, after all.
