Ultimately though I think there's simply a bottleneck on male vtubers, they have no demographic except a few faggots and die-hard fujos. At least yumejoshi are actually a fucking huge demographic and Niji already monopolized that (thank fucking god).
That is to say, even if they had talent they'd still flop.
And lastly there is the obvious fact that Dumb & Dumber's crash-out quite simply nuked any "momentum" they might have had and caused a lot of in-fighting in a fanbase that previously had been based all around unity and their "brotherhood". That's more of a nail-in-the-coffin thing than the cause of their flop though.
