>>10410190SCs, sponsorships, memberships, merch, and ads are the primary income streams for a chuuba.
Popular chuubas can make $1-2k in supers per stream. Often they will have a few streams over $5 or even $10k. If they stream 200-300 times per year this is easily between $200-500k per year alone. Gura apparently has over $750k just from supers, Mori crossed $1M and Pekora is over $1.8M.
Sponsorships are vague but they can be paid by hours played or by views. Depending on the sponsor, these can be very lucrative contracts in the multiple thousands of dollars, sometimes tens of thousands. It also matters how many people are watching because that directly affects game sales. 100k views might create 500-1k new sales and so if a streamer plays that game 5 times and reaches a total of about 1M views, the game dev can expect 5k-10k sales minimum. If the dev profits $10 per sale, they can easily afford to give this streamer $30-50k, but that is probably more than usual. If the streamer gets only one sponsorship per month at $15k each, that's $180k per year.
Membership numbers are publicly available on numbers sites, but it's not known how many members buy T2 and T3. I can't find the numbers right now but it's over 2k members for many. I think the bigger names have over 10k. If the average member pays $6 monthly that's about $12-60k per month, or $144-720k per year.
Merch is difficult to guess but I'll go by average video view count. Merch is probably bought at about the same rate as memberships. Cover might get 30% in profit so the chuuba gets about 18% per sale. If there are 2k buyers and the average yearly purchase is $40 then cover might get $24k per year for one talent's merch. Or with 10k buyers, $120k per year.
Ads are pretty simple by comparison. Cover gets probably $2 per 1k ad view. If you have 100M views and 50% watch ads then cover gets about $100k.
Supers 200-1000
Sponsors 120-180
Memberships 144-720
Merch 24-120
Ads 100 per 100M
The yearly total for a decently popular chuuba is $592k-2120k. Talents get about 30% of everything and 60% of the merch profit, maybe. Double merch gives the total 616-2240k which they get 30% of. So before tax a mid level holo may make $184k and an upper tier top 5 can probably make $672k yearly.
