People blame her for the "creative freedom" thing, but it's their own fault for projecting into an issue that has nothing to do with them.
From her perspective, having to seek approval and having shit turned down all the time even if it's inoffensive is extremely annoying, and it is indeed a creative difference to prefer to do an unfiltered, unsupervised thing as she's doing now. She does have more creative freedom to just show whatever the fuck she wants, without any scrutiny over it.
The issue is that retarded simps convinced themselves that this would mean her content would drastically improve, that they would get something so amazing and creative that would change the world of vtubing, or whatever. If she had that, Cover would want in, they wouldn't shut her down, they'd want a aslice of that pie.
More creative freedom for the creators almost never leads to better, "more creative" content. They just default to their safe places, instead of having to figure out creative solutions to problems they're forced to overcome. This is true of every creative field, problem solving is what gives birth to your favorite game mechanics, or whatever, not someone with unlimited freedom just deciding that it would be cool.
She wasn't lying, you just took too much copium. The graduation arc was emotional and an important moment in Holo canon. Just leave it at that and move on. I did.
