>>104391142>his absolute driven autism to reply to every Hololive compilation drawing with beggingThe most amusing part is the fact he fell for the same mental trap most beggars did (and most small corpos also did)
>post hoc ergo propter hocMost beggars like that absolutely believe that because a lot of artists draw Hololive, a lot of clippers clip Hololive, a lot of Hololive fan art is produce AND Hololive is popular, that said prolific creation of material CAUSED Hololive to be popular and, hence, if they can convince content creators to produce secondary content based on the holostars then they can also be popular.
I mentioned this a couple of times: Hololive is popular because the content they produce targets a previously unoccupied niche
>uncontroversial, atemporal (uncontaminated by the current zeitgeist), family friendly (yet spicy), non confrontational surrogate companionship for people with good disposable income, free time and unfulfilled emotional needs. That's it. They provided what nobody else was providing to a big underserved audience and that audience rewarded them bigly.
And the demand for that type of content was so big that a secondary market grew around the girls
>clips for audiences that did not speak the language>fanart and cosplay>songs and games>merch, doujin and even pornThis increased the visibility of the girls tremendously but it did not cause the initial demand, it only served it.
Enter the beggars: they genuinely believe that if creators create the same type of content about their favourites they could get noticed more and develop a bigger demand.
It's pretty much "supply-side economy" and it doesn't work here because you can't really "command demand", people won't consume entertainment they aren't interested in.
Now, for the funny part: even the rest of the industry fell for the same meme, hence
>Gunrun commissioning artists to do a suspiciously similar version of Walfie illustrations>Uto "hidden hand" company hiring Ame's mama to design her model so she can call herself a "sister" and raise her profileand, amusingly
>holostars management hiring Holo fanartist to make material for their official channelIt doesn't work. You can't "jumpstart demand". Either people want that product or they don't and, in the homos, case, they OBVIOUSLY don't-
