Because unlike Nimrod, Noel actually spends money on the rest of the equipment and understands how to use it. If she wasn’t the sexiest whore in the company she’d probably be a sound engineer for film and TV. It’s why you see the silly numbers on some KU 100 thumbnails (looking at you Nene/Macoto) like $98,000 audio equipment. Obviously they didn’t spend that much but it’s still stupidly expensive.
That’s just the tools part of it. Fauna was always average at best with ASMR (I personally wouldn’t call her bad but not really the standard you need for the “ASMR hire”) but it was notable the difference in sound quality for her KU100 and Noel’s. This was combined with her lies about it being broken, when she just didn’t want to use it. There is no excuse for not having good ASMR with a KU 100 when Noel is literally there to give advice on it. I don’t believe she’s that competitive to not help (especially with an EN).
You can’t just buy a KU 100 and be good at ASMR. If they can’t spend the money, RODE NT5 has been the next best experience, in some cases has been the better mic for those also own a KU 100.
