>>104837594>Would an apology fix her problem?Which "problem"? I don't think people understood the distinction she made when she said "no longer an idol, but an artist, my real dream".
Here is a short explanation
An idol
>an idol is a content creator which makes the following pact with the audience from the very start: she might not be perfect now but she'll try really hard AND (this is important) she will dedicate every fiber of her being to improve AND will measure her every decision on whether or not it benefits her fans>an idol fan reciprocates with the following pact: he will offer unconditional support for her every endeavour (as long as it abides by the above mentioned 'benefit the fans' rule), be present, be loud, be passionate and dedicate lots of love and enthusiasm in helping her grow and achieve her dreams. That's the tradeoff for an idol: she will trade getting pretty much unconditional and enthusiastic supported even when she's not at her best but in return, she will have to dedicate her whole career doing not what necessarily what she enjoys the most but what benefits her fans the most. That's the "idol route", a mutual relationship with her fans from zero to stardom
>or from zero to doing an underground idol show in front of her 13 fans like this thread used to watch back in the daysNow, conversely, an artist
>An artist is a content creator whose output motivation is to fulfil her creative desires. Every action is measured based on self actualisation and self realisation with "the benefit of the audience" being a minor concern in relation to fulfilling the artist's own expectations.>Conversely, there is no set relationship between the artist and the audience, only between the artist OUTPUT and the audience and that's the entirety of what the audience will take in consideration when judging her.The audience of an idol will accept even imperfect content because both the fact the idol and her audience are in a mutual relationship of support and incentive, and the fact the "growth" is a built in part of being an idol, the improvement along the time witnessed by her fans.
An artist has no such allowance, she will be judged solely by the quality of her content and HARSHLY because she is one more artist in a sea of very talented ones.
When Lui declared "no longer an idol, but an artist", from that point on she will ALWAYS be judged by her content and in comparison with the best and the greatest in the industry (some even in her own company).
Right now Lui is finishing her live and it is the lowest attended live of the year, trailing even a Roboco overlapped by all of these people:
