The first requires a lot of broken promises to be capable of happening. Sneaking around behind your partners back is very different from breaking up first before doing anything.
I'll be honest though I really don't understand how you can even imagine Pillow doing that sort of thing. You're basically thinking of a hypothetical Pillow that goes out live on stream and says "oh no too bad so sad" to every single piwwo as she breaks their hearts without feeling anything. The Pillow I've known for years is so kind and loving that she literally falls apart if she even thinks for a moment that she made even a single one of us a little sad. The kind of transformation you're talking about here is such a massive shift that I can't reconcile the two at all mentally. At the very least it's far more complicated than "she just hasn't gotten around to caring about it yet". Pillow actually loves us, romantically. She's told us explicitly that she's our girlfriend dozens of times, without any kind of character. She has said that she's in a relationship with us, and only us. She even uses those exact terms. My point is that she is clearly treating this like a real relationship. She's not only insistent on never quitting, she's told us outright how she wants all of us to stay with her forever too.
At the very least, she's treating this like her actual long term relationship. She also wants piwwos to feel safe and secure in that relationship with her too - which is again the exact opposite of what you're suggesting.
Her relationship with piwwos is more than just a surface level thing. It's representative of who she is as a person. I know that anything can happen obviously, but it's not really believable to me. You'd need to have her be a different person entirely for that kind of thing to happen
