>>104971133The more I see early vtubers (2020-21) rebrand/redesign into a chubby model, the more and more I think about how much damage was done by big EN corpos getting their foothold in. For a lot of these girls those corpos were their first real exposure and inspiration to start vtubing, and none of those would have ever dared to have even a slightly thick girl.
Think of the amount of hololarping going on during those days, the dream was so real to so many girls that it would have been suicide for them to not have a safe, slim design when trying to get noticed, even if they really wanted to break the mold and be a fat girl.
I wonder if we're going to start seeing this more and more with vtubers that have been around for close to 5 years now.
