>>105117117Pippa's debut is a historical event, not because the debut was exceptional itself but what it signifies, the beginning of the journey of just another small corpo into a big player in the west. Basically, every vtuber fan should watch that debut, and appreciate history. Same with HoloEN debuts by the way, although Hololive was already a big player when EN debuted.
Pippa's debut was nothing special, just fine, a regular vtuber debut, introducing herself and presenting her goals. She even got a few donations from StreamElements which distracted her a bit. Later she told the story that management told her to stop reading the tips, and focus on the debut.
There was one small incident. Towards the end, she said something like "so, you need to watch me", and she pulled the stock image of the hand with a gun, like "threatening" the audience. A few moments later she apologized because management immediately messaged her on Discord, and told her to avoid that.
The audience didn't care about that image, they loved it, but at the beginning Phase management was quite strict, and were careful about what they perceived as yabs, or heavy jokes. They obviously relaxed in the next few months, but that first year was tough for Pippa. She clashed with management a lot.
