Though I guess it's not entirely unjustified. Apparently, there was a scene in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where they used the Ghostbusters theme song for less than a minute and still had to cough up $80,000 for it. Those fees from the rights holders can get pretty steep

I think the top JP memebers like Miko and Marine are not heavily botted. Maybe they have around 5k bots lingering in their streams, but it's not a big % of their total ccv.
And that's because their VODs have a lot of views, while Watame will get 10k-15k ccv, but rarely gets more than 150K vod views on her 6+ hour long streams. And Lamy's vod views are worse, hell's her MV views are absurdly low.

If you take every member of EN and tell them to make a list of 20 or so EN songs that they'd like to sing without limitation you'd end up with nearly every single one of them turning in a song lineup that would cost millions in licensing.

The American music industry is filthy as fuck and in no way does it make sense to blow millions of dollars for something like this. It would never pay off. It's such a gross misuse of budget that Cover's shareholders would immediately have their collective knees on the back of Yagoo's neck asking why in the fuck the company is throwing so much money away like that.

Japan has a much higher percentage of the population that know and care about vtubers. The majority of EN stream watchers would much rather watch middle aged millionaires get into petty drama with eachother, a wholesome fat guy, hyper energetic flesh zoomers, etc. Maybe they're fine with a token vtuber like ironmouse appearing as a guest from time to time, but mostly EN stream watchers don't really care about vtubers.

I think I watched maybe 50-100 hours total of regular streamers from the time justin.tv first started up to early 2021. Stupid anime girls tricked me into consuming a lot of some of the worst content imaginable. Had a few people who made content that I would watch sped up VoDs of like Giant Bomb, but past that it was all anime, cartoon, and manga consumption, which is a lot easier to actually talk and relate with to most people about.

How can there be fatigue for something that's streamed online for free maybe once every other month? If it was an in-person concert that you'd need to take time off work for, pay for flights, hotel, etc. yes there would be fatigue, but not online streams that are just clicks away.

This is unfortunately the case, early Myth was like an aspergers drunk dad and menhera mom and the silent older octopus sister trying to tardwrangle their autistic nonverbal children.
Now that Mori and Kiara have mellowed out, the 3 of them are like slightly autistic goofballs who meet up for non-alcoholic cocktails and goof around because their children were sent to special kid boarding school.
