>>105547986For some goddamn reason I tend to browse around to read catalog threads and generals of other fanbases I don't really watch. Based on my observations of trolling patterns and interactions with thread cultures I think it's genuinely not any actual particular fanbase.
There's a few dedicated schizos in many threads, but given the majority of the shitposting formats tend to be pretty generic/repetitive, my opinion is that it's a minority of dedicated schizos talking to themselves in threads to give an impression that the "fanbase" acts in a given way while trying to raid other threads, and also some group of people that just take random rrats people post here and start repeating them (even when they're obviously nonsense if you know anything about the people involved) while posing as random fanbases just to piss everyone off. (And it works since anons for some reason tend to be gullible idiots that wrongly believe they're not gullible.)
(Also, this seems to extend to other boards. /v/ is 50% pol psyops, and last time I looked at /g/ it was essentially a tranny discussion board. /vr/ has regular spamming campaigns to flood the board. etc.)
Numbers in particular confuses me because they barely have any coherent discussion about anything. It's just a bunch of random namecalling and blatant admissions of trying to make catalog bait. It's a shitposting clique that puts half the threads circlejerk thread in /vg/ to shame in terms of cancer.
As an oldfag this whole issue fascinates me, because I have a hard time picturing what kind of drooling idiots would dedicate so much time to this when they could just, idk, jerk off and make better use of their time.
