So maybe Kronii's roommate is a tomboy, so she thinks "hey, I'm a girl but I don't like girly things! I like guy things! But I'm not a guy, but maybe I'm not totally a girl either! I must be neither!" Thus, she calls herself non-binary.
Speculation on my part, I know nothing of Kronii's roommate. But the point is, identities like "non-binary" are held by attention seeking and often well-to-do individuals who just want to gain "oppression points" in woke circles, and justified with the cheapest of consumerism (ie "Sometimes I like to buy men's clothes, sometimes I like to women's clothes!")
It's peak liberalism and a fad identity, if Kronii's roommate is truly "non-binary" she'll probably grow out of it when it stops being trendy.
