YOU gave it all the information it used (that filian smells like bread) and it tried to explain what seemed like an obviously illogical sentence.
But it doesn't know she says she LITERALLY smells like bread, so it assumes the phrase must be non-literal, and gives explanations exclusively to that end (in classic AI fashion, it very nearly INSISTS that it's not literal).
TLDR: the AI is retarded (and so are you).
