That being said, every good math teacher I ever had always told me that outside basic arithmetic, calculators are useless if you can't recognize how a problem can be solved with math and what methods to apply in order to do so. I regularly use basic algebra on Excel when considering if something is a good financial decision, when optimizing resources on vidya where you build shit, and in arguments here to prove someone wrong. This skill is far more important than being able to quickly do the same shit without Excel, and I'm thankful for it
