>>105850222>myth blew up because of gura karaokes and mori's album getting a lot of normiesMaybe I should assume you were not around when the events you’re trying to describe happened.
There was nothing in the Mythmania that came exclusively from those two events alone, Myth was a fenomenal success with pretty much their every stream type: gaming, singing, drawing, zatsu and the reason for that was because it was an absolute fresh take on the whole live streaming experience: instead of constant conflict, drama, fake and real shipping wars it was just cute girls behind a very cute anime avatar doing cute things while interacting with the audience.
>where in here would having male collabs have harmed anything unless you already built up a unicorn culture. there was no culture back then, they were inventing it.They might have been pioneers in the ***vtuber*** world for the English speaking audience but they were definitely not pioneers in the already mature ***content creation*** world, which already plenty of players in field.
And their success in that sea of alternatives was EXACTLY because what they were offering was different and the difference was exactly that: they kept to themselves and their close girl friends.
Notice I’m not even mentioning this exclusively in the context of coed collabs, that’s a subset of what made it work.
Myth was their own universe and they CORRECTLY rebuked offers to mingle with the rest of the english speaking content creator world
>see: that cringe inducing “vouch” OTV episodeand created their own intra-Holo “bubble”.
As it turns out that was exactly what the audience wanted and they got massively rewarded by it.
