EN members didn't join Hololive to be comfy or have fun. They joined because they wanted numbers and Minecraft is numbers. Now that they have the audience, they're just going to do the minimal required to keep them placated. This routine is what you can expect with corpo Vtubers. Unironically yes. The portal will be a novelty that they asked for and will never use. Just like any other arc that concludes in Hololive there'll be a bunch build up to the portal. Fireworks will likely be launched and then within a week the EN crew will be playing on the EN server because the JP server is in a 'finished' state.

This is what happens when everything is delivered on a silver platter. The object is a novelty that'll be forgotten within a week.

JPs will play on the EN server and the outcome
will be a total urbanization of the area around the portal. The end result likely being another resource server being made when the Minecraft cave update releases. Really, Hololive couldn't have picked a WORSE time to merge servers. Because JPs exploring the server will be a detriment down the line when new chunks use the new 1.18 generation.

This is the dumbest fucking argument ever because any time ever is a bad time to play minecraft according to that logic, the fucking diversity hires at microsoft can't fucking figure out how to program something that smooths out the map when chunk generation is updated even though there's multiple open source tools on the internet that can already do it.
As soon as you start a minecraft world you know that at some point in the near future chunk generation will be fucked because they'll never implement smoothing and rely on either the community to solve it or do what hololive JP does and have a separate resource server that gets wiped every update.

Like I said in the post you're replying too. All of them have the attention span of a goldfish and have been working on everything around the portal, but not the portal itself. They also took forever to finish simple tasks because they kept fucking around with each other. Now they have less than 24 hour to finish the actual portal according to the deadline management gave them.
So really, anyone complaining about them streaming minecraft should blame the fact that they cant finish the simple task management gave them and instead are working on sideprojects unrelated to finishing the portal.

Most of EN doesn't like minecraft that much, so I don't really blame them. They have to build stuff now so the EN server doesn't look like Haiti when JP rolls in, but I bet after the big event, they'll all mostly stop playing again unless management rides them.
