Lord of the Board 5 - The Aftermath

A board-wide wrestling tournament, hosted by /hfz/ in WWE 2k24.
>Who can sign up?
Any thread on /vt/ can sign up.
>What is required to sign up?
Your thread must be active on /vt/ in the 3 months preceeding sign-ups opening. The exact criteria will be on the form, but we do not expect it to be an issue for regularly-active threads. Additionally, your thread's manager is REQUIRED to provide VALID contact info of some kind on the form. We will not verify your entry until we confirm the contact info is valid and has an actual person on the other end. You may use a burner account, so long as you can respond to messages we need to send you within 24~48 hours. Any information the manager provides, as well as their identity, will be kept completely private.
>/mythread/ has moved off 4chan. Can we enter?
Not unless they have maintained an active presence on /vt/ and meet the criteria using /vt/ posts exclusively. We will not accept entries for exclusively off-board participants.
>If I manage the entrant for /mythread/, what will I be expected to do?
You will need to fill out a form detailing your thread's representative wrestler, including appearance, general fighting style, entrance music, and graphic sources. You do not need to convert any of these things yourself, just provide assets. If something you give us doesn't work for whatever reason, we'll contact you. If you ghost us for 72 hours, we'll notify your thread and give the chance for somebody else to step up. If nobody does, /yourthread/ is out and somebody else will get the slot (if appliciable).
>/mythread/ entered a previous Lord of the Board. Can we recycle our rep?
We can recycle reps from Lord of the Board 3 & 4 (light edits are also acceptable). We cannot recycle reps from Lord of the Board 1 or 2, so they will be subject to being remade from scratch.
>What game will be used?
We'll be using WWE 2k24, same as last time. This will likely be the last proper Lord of the Board event on 2k24, as the servers close at the New Year.
>How long will sign-ups be open?
2 weeks. Sign-ups will close at midnight ET on November 15th. Late entries will not be accepted.

>Last time it was 3 weeks, and we got 2 weeks' notice. What gives?
The Assembly of United and Trained Inspectors of Squared-cicle Masterworks allocated 2 weeks' advance notice for Lord of the Board 4 in order to account for potential off-board entrants, due to the special circumstances of the timing of that event. As we are no longer allowing off-site threads to qualify without a real /vt/ presence, we have reduced the lead time to 1 week again. Regarding the sign-up time being returned to 2 weeks, for Lord of the Board 4's sign-ups, we increased the time to allow more threads a longer period to sign up. However, the middle week of the 3 allocated saw almost no entrants for the entire week. Due to the overabundance of College Deadline Culture within /vt/, we have opted to stop fucking around and pretending threads are going to sign up on days that aren't the first 3 and last 3. Thus, we have returned the sign-up period to 2 weeks, as it was for LotB 1-3.
>Will there be a tag event this time?
At this time, Creation Club is not expected to defend their Million Dollar Collab titles for Lord of the Board 5.

>When will the event take place?
We are currently targeting late December/early January. We do not expect to overlap Christmas.
