Hell, some of the drama/trolls from the other communities ended up following some girls into the vtuber community, and the shit they do is so much worse than any of the normal toxicity.
For example, /cgl/ ended up holding a grudge and following the dogs. There's a few twitter dedicated accounts who respond to everything they ever tweet with posts about their RM and photos of them.
Like the average vtuber anti wouldn't even think of that shit.
We also see some cases of it getting pretty bad with the Nijisanji fans, who tend to find new ways to chase each other off the internet every week or so, likely adapted from the overlapping kpop fandom.
Ironically, the actual lesbian-coded vtubers like Doki, Mint, ERB, etc. have some of the chillest and nicest girls I've ever met.
