https://www.northportfl.gov/City-Services-and-Safety/Emergency-Services/Police/Records>For assistance concerning police department records, contact the Records Section, call (941) 429-7300, Ext 3 or via email [email protected]. The Records Section is currently open Mondays 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday - Friday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. for your convenience and is closed Saturday and Sunday, and all major holidays. In Florida, they are legally required to give anyone who asks all publically available records that they have, including any and all publically available police reports for any particular address.
Keep in mind that the email address you use to request the records will become part of the record as well, which means you should use a burner unless you're not concerned about having people know you requested them.
You are not required to provide your name or identification. Public Records requests can be done so anonymously as explicitly stated in their request policy guide:
https://www.northportfl.gov/files/assets/main/v/2/city-government/public-records-request-policy.pdfThere is no labor fee for any request that takes less than 30 minutes to comply with. If you are specific enough in your request, such as "please send me a copy of all police reports filed concerning [her parent's address] between January 2020 and now" then there will most likely be no labor fee.
You can anonymously make out your request to:
[email protected]Specifically, you can ask them for incident report 22-003618 and incident report 21-057941.
