Outside of vtuber (because it's easy and funny to bash nerds but let's stop for a second), look at famous singers or movie stars, dozens of millions of people go absolutely crazy over them. Sometimes dangerously
It's only weird when you start acting on it in a way that may reach their personal lives, because at that point it means you cannot distance your behavior from your feelings (poor emotional control/poor judgement)
I wasn't saying all of this as a way to dismiss how you feel ; as long as you are conscious of the situation you're in I think it's all that matter. I just wanted to make sure of that.
You're going to have some ups and downs, hopefully you manage to feel better about it in time.
