I started watching them because of the new generation and found that I liked the DNA of the company despite the hate that they get here all the time...I will never watch Pippa or Lumi tho.

What is your honest opinion about Phase Connect?

They play better games than Holos, like Noita and Crusader Kings. I like that they don't have a male branch or JP management autism. But I will never support the company or talents as long as they continue to employ Pippa. I don't care that her "yabs" were a long time ago, her recent behaviour shows that she hasn't repented, she's just more discrete now.

My, admittedly poorly informed opinion as an occasional viewer, is that it lacks the unified corporate culture and control systems necessary to really cultivate a professional face. The result is inconsistency. Two different Phase Connect streamers (or even the same streamer on different days) could provide wildly different experiences and levels of skill, competence, and professionalism. Since you can't be confident in what you're getting from a Phase talent, you're less likely to support them or branch out to the other Phase vtubers that you might not know. Plus, the poor reputation of so many of the streamers really does reflect badly on all the rest. They're catching splash damage from all the yabs and unpleasant personalities of their peers. Half the point of being in a corpo is the benefit of cross-promotion and cooperation. That doesn't work when half the company seems like they're crazy or constantly doing something stupid. The chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and Phase isn't convincing me that it's a very strong chain.

I watched Clio. I finally looked into Tenma and Panko because of her joining, and they're cute, but I mostly still watch Clio.
Because Clio streams 12 hours per day, I don't have time for anyone else.
I also know about Pippa, Mari Mari, and Sleepy are... but I don't know the names of the rest.

While I love certain talents like Jelly, Panko, and Memory, there seems to be an odd bit of clique behavior within the company. As in one of the best benefits of a corpo is the continually cross-promotion and collabs means that viewers are incentivized to stay in the corpo ecosystem. However it seems like some talents never collab with each other, so there isn't a sharing of viewerbase. Lumi, Mari, and Clio have a uniquely twitch audience, Pippa and Tenma have their /pol/ audience. Despite me hating these groups, the talents could benefit from diversifying themselves and being exposed to more people.
Also the company would massively benefit if Pippa & Lumi graduate

Personally, I can't stand pippa, so I watched Tenma more often. Somehow, her streams are also hit or miss. So even the biggest personalities can't even come close to the heavyweights at Holo.

I get the impression that the latest generation doesn't fit in with the rest of the company at all, because some of the Vtubers could just as well be the new EN5. I tried watching other, smaller creators from Phase and found it difficult to even last 5 minutes. And then you have Nitya, which is at such a level that she might as well be considered the new Gura (I dare say she is much better than her). Personally, I think Saga will be wasted in this company.

Gen 3 and the JP efforts are a dud. Gen 4 seems very unlike the typical Phase hires compared to Gen 1 and 2. Fishman has himself a Nijisanji type situation in which the "brand" has fans, but none interconnect.

I've been watching Phase since 2022, and if you only read opinions here, you'd think that the company is a yab machine that will collapse in two weeks. Meanwhile the reality is much different. Everybody just loves what they do, they stream a little, or stream a lot, and the fans support the girls like crazy.
Watch one stream, fully, stick with it. Then watch a different person, stick to it. Do that consistently for a week, and then two weeks, and then a month, etc. Eventually you'll find somebody who draws you in.

I'll watch Nitty literally every chance I get. Which isn't often, maybe I see the last hour of a stream on an average day. I'll tune in when Clara is singing, if it's not at 4AM EST. They were good before they clipped Pippa and tried making Clara the main talent. They should have just let Pipa go indie in exchange for a cut of her income. That way they could have been rid of the residual reputation harm being associated with her while still making money off her.

They are on rebound though after the new invader and the new gen being hits compared to the previous gens.
