Some people just can't sing. It's a mix of your actual singing talent and your voice. Also it's kinda like how you like to listen to someone sing because of their voice even if they aren't really good. Bijou may have a cute voice but it doesn't work for singing without studio editing.

Biboo is a hard worker but Gura is a better entertainer and she was heavily boosted due to lockdowns. Considering how close Gura was to the mainstream it's actually baffling that Cover refused to work out their issues with Gura. Hololive will never have another 4.7 million subscribers EN talent and it will be extremely difficult for anyone in Advent, Justice, or EN5 to reach 2 million subscribers even if they optimistically stayed for a decade.

Considering Gura5.0 fails to become the next Gura, barely carrying over 30% of her previous audience, I don't think that's a fair assessment as obviously no one is currently on the trajectory of 5mil subs reached anytime soon. Being among the worse singers in Hololive it's surprising her original songs are among the best.

She won't. Gura is a legendary result of all the stars aligning. She's the actual lightning in a bottle vtuber. A mediocre to average streamer propelled into the limelight as a result of luck, timing, and market forces. Even when she redebuted, after her popularity had waned, her influence was still enough to bring over a million subscribers along with her. Truly one of the greatest to ever do it.

She brought nearly a million fans to Hololive and left with 1.4 million subscribers. That is a win, especially considering new talents can't reach one million with the HoloBox.

It's irrelevant now that she has more freedom, without Cover leeching on her. She's making more now per stream and with her merchandise.

VOD views are a more accurate reflection of her actual success, since they directly correlate with her ad revenue. Her's excels at growing long after the stream is done.

For now, she's maxed out the holobox.
Her problem is the same as the current HoloEN. While some are resorting to reaching out to JP fans, the problem of not attracting more Western audience outside of the box is the main problem. Pushing them to shill more is not the answer.
