>>106974981If you have OCD you might have conditioned your brain into thinking not washing all the time is actually dangerous, and something terrible will happen if you don't. Every time you manically wash your hands, that notion is just reinforced in a feedback loop. You can try to fix it using exposure therapy, to very slowly wean yourself off the behavior, in order to make your brain realize that you're still alive and nothing bad happened even when you didn't do the OCD thing.
Every time you get a compulsive urge to do something, try stalling for a minute longer than last time. It might be easier if you decide on some other action to do instead of just waiting around. It can really be anything, for example "instead of immediately rushing to wash my hands, I will listen to this song, or do push-ups, or walk around, or write down as many vtubers as I can from memory."
But I mean I wash my hands every time I've been outside, that's just normal hygiene. It's only a problem if the uncomfortable thoughts prevent you from outright doing things like touching grass in the first place.
