Convincing Gunrun to go with her plan was the right move. She wouldn't sue so there would be effectively no monetary or legal issue for him (his reputation is in the gutter, but who cares). Both of them got a cut from the donation they took. She played the victim card and organized another charity run and did give the charity organization donations properly so the organization and the fans were happy, too.
