I usually don't browse social media, but the whole twitter geolocation shitposting on other boards caught my attention. But whilst there it's mostly used to accuse various fanbases of having certain skin colors, on /vt/ it has caused some major drama (due to obvious reasons).
But rather than some long-standing rrats being proven true, what has shocked me the most is the people saying the knew it for years. Well, I didn't. And while the talent in question is not my oshi, so I haven't been browsing the dedicated split. I thought that, for certain, I would've caught a glimpse of it, in the form of the usual dox shitposting in this general (at least before it died). But nope.
Am I the odd one here? Is it wrong of me to simply enjoy vtubers as entertainers, without e-stalking and sniffing their dirty laundry (figuratively)? Would it be better to learn that stuff earlier not to be surprised by it when it enters the mainstream discussions?
