I remember reading on /vt/, I think it was 2023, about a muted vtuber from latin america who turned out to be a dude but he pretended to be a disabled girl and paid his family to fight in the background to get saviorfags and then pretended to have a boyfriend (and the guy thought he was a she) and even paid a girl to pretend to be him in order to do erp to make it more believable. Then he rugged his chat. But then he needed money so he rerolled but all his ex-fans got him banned from twitch.

Shachi will eventually have a vtuber debut but she doesn't want to raise expectations when so much of that is still up in the air. There is no reason for her to give fans a time estimate until she decides on a hard date for her debut. While her graduation was messy the situation is different than Sana that was so burnt out from her experience in Hololive that she never wanted to be a vtuber after that. Shachi though is going in the vtuber direction with her dancing in Doki's birthday concert, the Halloween mask she made for Dooby, and Nimi Nightmare showing up in her chat. That doesn't feel like the actions of someone that has decided to leave the vtuber world. Still it could be months before she announces her indie debut and there will likely be a huge lore event going on with the Drawn to Dawn concert so if Shachi doesn't have an indie debut in January/February than it might get delayed until April.

i dont really think theres anything wrong with being a muted vtuber
but not having your voice out there makes it easy for people to be skeptical of anything you do or claim.
Besides shachi I follow one other muted vtuber and i only know shes female because i bought a printed piece of art from her at a con and had it signed. I followed her after that.
