As long as they have a global branch, they can pretend like it's going to achieve something. If they pull entirely now, investors will scatter.
That's why they've given up on marketing them to people who actually know English and instead push them entirely in China, Japan, SEA, etc.

I'm pretty sure they were at least hovering around 1-2k ccv legit last I checked, but it also helped that NijiEN was buying a FUCKTON of ads for specifically BTB for months after they debuted to bring in fresh faces. No idea if they stuck around, but for a while they were definitely real.
